Climate Change Expo
The Caribbean Coastal Area Management (C-CAM) Foundation hosted a Climate Change Expo & Forum at the Monymusk Sports Club, Monymusk in Clarendon Jamaica on May 4, 2011.
The event brought together Agencies & Organizations involved or interested in Climate Change activities/discussions/research to discuss with community representatives and schools from the Portland Bight Protected Area (PBPA) how they can make their livelihoods more adaptable to Climate Change.
There was a Forum discussing alternative livelihoods & entrepreneurial opportunities highlighting the need to ensure the resilience to climate change. This was followed by the official opening of the booths for viewing.
There was a live broadcast on Music 99 FM
The day culminated with a very exciting Concert featuring some of the Artists from the group Voices for Climate Change including Digicel Rising Stars One Third, Cameal Davis plus Pam Hall and Lovindeer among many others which was not only entertaining but sent a positive message about Climate Change.
We extend a big thank you to all the agencies, community persons, students and media persons who made this day a success.
